Tuesday Blues

I just finished my latest estimate. Now my mind is floating.

What do I want to write? I've been planning on having a style of wiring in this blog. Since I don't have all the time in the world to write, I'd just have to share my dailyusings. Something like a post that Dianna Agron made in her tumblr account. Short but very inspiring.

I'll start when the first muse visits me.

Holiday!

I am sooo glad that I didn't have to get up extra early for work today. I do hope that all the Muslims around the world are having a peaceful celebration of Eid al-Adha (Festival of Sacrifice).

I had to work late last night since today's a non-working holiday. I had to balance 3 project deadlines yesterday, I was literally stumped for the better half of an hour. I couldn't figure out which was the most important and which I could do with the least amount of time. Nevertheless, I finished them to an acceptable degree. Come Wednesday I don't think I'll be rushing as much. I'd probably just spend the day checking my estimates and writing follow up emails.

I am also lovin' the fact that Pia is here to spend my free day with me!

2NE1 Gold Team Hoody FOR SALE!

I now have the my 2NE1 hoodies but because of how much the customs charged us for the jackets, I'm selling one of them. I live in Manila and I would only agree to meet ups for the payment.

Please, if anyone's interested, just leave me a message.

Don't forget to leave me a message with your contact info!

One Busy Day

I had the busiest day since I started at my company. Never thought I'd have to spend so much time on progress billings. Not to mention, rush through a bid proposal for submission. Ugh, and I still have another project on the list because I can't find the time to estimate it on top of semi-supervising an on-going renovation.

But I will survive! I'll have everything done by Saturday. Count on it.

Customs nightmare

I just recently bought 2NE1 gold team hoodies via my friends credit card. The problem now is the package is on hold t the customs because of the fact thy the entire thing was declared to be around $200 (my friend ordered one too).

Now, because of money constraints, I'm forced to sell one of my jackets. My loss is the gain of another, I believe.

I'm not sure how much I'm reselling the hoody, but it's gonna be between 4,500-5,000 Philippine peso (but I can negotiate). I'm still figuring out how to claim them from the customs.

But, I'M DEFINITELY SELLING. If anyone's interested, just leave a message.

Happy Halloween!

We spent the Halloween at the mall. There were a bunch of kids coming in and out of various shops, asking for candies. All of them were so cute! I wish I spent a day in costume when I was younger. There were really a lot of things that I wish I could've done.

Later in the afternoon, I met up with a friend. Her nieces and nephews were adorable! One in particular, Pao the baby Tigger. I couldn't help myself so I asked to carry him around as we walked to the next building for the registration.

Overall, it was a fine day. I was with my mom and my sister the entire time, enjoying the fact that we got to see the inside of a mall again.

It has been a long time since. Mostly because I was busy paying bills these past few weeks. I normally take everyone to the movies or just plain window shopping. It's been strained this October.

Anyway, Halloween made up for it. It was a super fun day with my family.

Wine, anyone?

At around half past two this afternoon, one of my officemates from accounting came down with a bottle of white wine. Everyone got a glass and had a taste. I was waiting for Venice to take a break from printing the Goshen Land plans so we could drink together, but she told me to go first. In the end, we were handed plastic cups, one-third full.

I brought the cup to my nose, trying to decided whether it would taste good or not. I’m no wine expert but I’m a picky eater. If it doesn’t smell good, I won’t put it in my mouth.

The wine tasted oh, so bittter. It wasn’t like the other white wines I’ve had, though I haven’t tasted a lot of different brands. Suddenly, I had a problem with finishing my cup. I can’t very well drink it in one gulp, because I’ve tried with a cocktail drink before and I didn’t feel good after.

A little later, when everyone became aware that I’m not comfortable drinking my share, they adviced me to just down it fast. That way I won’t be as bitter as when I take it in sips. I asked them what the point of drinking was if I wasn’t gonna be able to enjoy it? And why are they even drinking if they don’t even like the taste of it? The only other engineer there told me they drink to get wasted.

I’m pretty sure that majority of the population really don’t like bitter tastes. It something that you grow into. That’s why people say drinking is a habit. Not everyone likes it at the beginning, they just, kinda, get you used to it.

I’m a picky drinker, that I’ve proven today. I’d rather drink something that my palette will enoy or not drink at all. Drinking is usually done with a group of people, mainly intended for socializing. I was even told that I must have a boring social life since I don’t have a boyfriend and I don’t drink. Maybe, but I do enjoy my boring social life.

My personality plays with the extremes. I don’t think I’d get wasted just for the sake of getting wasted. Sure, I’d want to know how I am totally zonked, but I won’t do it passing out on somebody’s couch at dawn. If I’m gonna do it, I’ll go all out. Plus, I’m picky-everything. I’d be around people who I want to get drunk with, read: my closest friends.

It’s gonna be one of those rare moments in my life, I’d want it to be memorable.

Internet Shopping

I was browsing the internet for something fashionable and I came across rompers. Finally, now I know what to call it. I've been telling my mom for the better part of two weeks that I wanted one of these. But my budget wouldn't allow me so I settled for shoes first. I do hope that I'd have enough to get at least one this weekend.

It really isn't hard to look for something nice online. CC's are needed though. Especially for someone like me who lives outside North America. Why, in this modern time, are the brands still not crossing over the Pacific? There's a whole other market on this side of the world and they insist on just shipping them over. Let us make you even more popular while letting us choose our clothes first hand. I'm really not down with the shipping fees costing more than the item itself.

Just last night, I was on Victoria's Secret's site looking over their garden line. I found this package that came with a cute little bag. I wanted it. It was only $24. But when I checked out how much it would cost to ship the item here, it would rip me another $27. I didn't need to be good in math to know this is effed.

Sigh. But I really want that bag. Now I'd probably just have to wait for a friend of a friend from the States to get me one only because VS doesn't have stores outside America. And I was silently praying that they'd have one in Hong Kong. Oh well. So much for getting that bag, as well as the rompers.
